Ripley's Aquarium

Ideal: Ideal for families, children, rainy-day plans, and anyone wanting marine life and an interactive museum experience.

The aquarium opened in 2013 and holds 5.7 million litres of water. Its best-known section is Dangerous Lagoon: a 96-metre moving walkway carries you through a glass tunnel while sand tiger sharks, sawfish, and sea turtles glide overhead. Changing lights in the jellyfish gallery and the touch pools are where families with kids linger longest. It sits right at the foot of the CN Tower, so the walk between the two stops is just a few minutes.

Why go?

  • For an easy indoor activity in central Toronto
  • To see marine life and aquarium tunnels up close
  • Because it pairs well with the CN Tower on the same day

Travel tip

It's very close to the CN Tower — visiting both back-to-back on one day is practical.
