What was Uludağ's ancient name?

In antiquity it was known as Mysian Olympus. Several mountains in Anatolia carried the name, and Greek mythology has the gods watching the Trojan War from here.

Why is the mountain a national park?

Uludağ was declared a national park in 1961. It holds glacial-era lakes, endemic plant species and four distinct forest belts that change with altitude, and it is used for hiking and camping in summer.

How long is the cable car?

The line from Bursa runs about 9 km and is among the longest cable-car routes in the world, climbing from the city centre to 1,800 m in roughly half an hour.
