Düden Şelalesi
Düden Şelalesi is one of the notable stops in Antalya, with a route-friendly location for your trip.
Did you know?
Where does the waterfall's water come from?
The Düden stream rises from springs in the Taurus mountains and travels part of its course underground. The karst system in the limestone makes the water disappear and re-emerge, which is why the same stream has two separate falls.
What is the difference between Upper and Lower Düden?
Upper Düden is north of the city, with a cave you can walk behind; Lower Düden is where the water plunges 40 m off the cliff directly into the Mediterranean. They are about 10 km apart.
What is the best way to see Lower Düden?
Since it falls into the sea, the best angle is from a boat. From land you only see it side-on from the clifftop park; boat trips leave from Antalya harbour.
