Zemun and Gardoš Tower
Ideal: River walks, neighbourhood exploration and panoramic city views
Although Zemun is now part of Belgrade, its Central European architecture and Danube setting give it a distinct identity. The waterfront promenade, narrow streets climbing Gardoš Hill and the area around the Millennium Tower form the core route. From the hill, visitors can see Zemun's rooftops and the river in one panorama. Combining the riverside with the upper neighbourhood provides a more balanced visit than seeing either area alone.
