Ada Ciganlija
Ideal: Families, cyclists and travellers seeking an outdoor break within the city
Ada Ciganlija is a large recreation area centred on an island and lake beside the Sava. Walking and cycling paths, sports facilities and seasonal beach areas make it a popular outdoor escape, particularly in warmer weather. It offers a useful contrast to Belgrade's historic centre and works well as a slower break in a longer city itinerary. Swimming conditions and available services are seasonal and should be checked on the day of a visit.
