More than 1,200 nozzles and 4,500 lights sit beneath the lake; the strongest jets shoot water 140 meters high, with separate choreography for each song. Shows run every thirty minutes by day and every fifteen at night, and they are completely free. Using so much water in the desert looks odd at first, but the lake is fed by a private well that predates the hotel — not the city's drinking supply.
