Theth and the Albanian Alps
Ideal: Experienced hikers and travellers interested in mountain nature and traditional village culture
Theth lies in a high valley within the Alps of Albania National Park. Stone houses, the village church, a traditional lock-in tower, Grunas Waterfall and surrounding paths combine cultural heritage with mountain scenery. Long routes such as Theth–Valbona require substantially more preparation than a village walk, and road, weather and trail conditions change by season. Even a shorter visit benefits from appropriate equipment and advance planning for transport and accommodation.
