Vrelo Bosne
Ideal: Families, nature walkers and travellers seeking a short escape from the city
Vrelo Bosne protects the spring area of the Bosna River at the foot of Mount Igman. Ponds, small bridges, wooded paths and the long tree-lined Velika Aleja create a calm natural excursion close to Sarajevo. Its value lies in the spring ecosystem as much as in the photogenic scenery, so visitors should avoid disturbing the water and wildlife. A few unhurried hours are more suitable than treating the park as a brief roadside stop.
