Verify the clinic and clinician independently
A badge on an agency website is not independent verification. Check the licence and accreditation number, scope and validity with the issuing authority.

- Verify facility accreditation with the accreditor.
- Ask about sterilisation and infection control.
- Get a written complication and hospital plan.
Do not compress treatment and holiday into one plan
Sightseeing, swimming, sun exposure or flying may be inappropriate during recovery. The clinical team—not a package itinerary—should determine the return date.
Arrange follow-up before leaving home
Obtain an understandable procedure report, device identifiers, medicine list, cultures and imaging. Tell clinicians at home about overseas care, because it can affect infection control and treatment.
