Tarkan Tevetoğlu is a Turkish singer and songwriter, born in Alzey, West Germany, in 1972. His career began with Yine Sensiz in 1992 and moved to the centre of Turkish pop with Aacayipsin and Ölürüm Sana.
Şımarık carried a Turkish-language song onto European charts and was covered in other languages, giving him an audience far beyond Turkey. Later albums, from Adımı Kalbine Yaz to Kuantum 51, kept that reach across generations of listeners.
