It covers 291 kilometres between Zermatt and St. Moritz in about eight hours; the company markets it as 'the world's slowest express'. The route crosses 291 bridges and 91 tunnels, reaching 2,033 metres at Oberalp Pass. The most photographed moment is the Landwasser Viaduct, where the train curves straight into a rock face. The Albula–Bernina section joined the UNESCO list in 2008. Panoramic carriages have floor-to-ceiling glass and seats fill up long ahead in season.
