Sacred Valley (Valle Sagrado) is the Inca holy valley stretching along the Urubamba River between Cusco and Machu Picchu. Pisac markets and terraces, Ollantaytambo fortress, Moray circular terraces, and Maras salt pans are among its best-known stops. Local markets, traditional weaving, quinoa fields, and Andean scenery make Sacred Valley an essential part of the Cusco–Machu Picchu route.
