Durmitor National Park
Ideal: Hikers, mountain photographers and outdoor travellers
Durmitor National Park protects a landscape of glacially shaped mountains, valleys and lakes. Black Lake near Žabljak is an accessible introduction, while longer routes require experience, equipment and suitable weather. The park, including part of the Tara River canyon, is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage property. When choosing a trail, consider elevation gain, changing weather and daylight as carefully as the stated distance.
