Lençóis Maranhenses
Ideal: Ideal for nature, photography, adventure, lagoon swimming, and discovering Brazil's hidden paradises.
Lençóis Maranhenses is a unique national park in northeastern Brazil where white sand dunes and blue-green lagoons create a landscape unlike anywhere else on earth. During the rainy season (May–September), clear lagoons form between the dunes, contrasting with the white sand to produce a surreal scene. This UNESCO candidate site is one of Brazil's most photogenic and least-known natural wonders.
