Did you know?
Why is the statue so small?
It is only 55.5 cm tall, which surprises most visitors. The one on the corner is a replica too — the 1619 original is kept in the city museum after being stolen repeatedly.
How many outfits does the statue have?
Over a thousand, and it is dressed several times a week according to an official calendar. The whole wardrobe is displayed at the Garderobe MannekenPis museum.
Are there companion statues?
Yes — a girl, Jeanneke Pis, added in 1987, and a dog, Het Zinneke, added in 1998. All three stand in different corners of the city.
