About Rush
Rush is the Canadian rock band formed in Toronto in 1968 and widely regarded as one of progressive rock's most influential groups. The trio of bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who joined in 1974, brought complex musicianship to a mass audience.
After the R40 tour in 2015 the band stopped touring, and Neil Peart died in 2020. Rush later returned to the stage with the Fifty Something Tour, with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson joined by drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold, playing two-set 'evening with' shows without a support act.
