Formed in Bakersfield, California in 1993, Korn wrote the basic formula of nu metal by combining low-tuned seven-string guitars, a rhythmic approach borrowed from hip hop and Jonathan Davis's raw vocal. Follow the Leader and Issues took the genre straight to the top of the charts.
A catalogue past thirty years turns the show into a meeting point across generations. The crowd in European arenas runs from fifteen-year-olds to forty-year-old long-timers, and the floor is where that mix is liveliest.

Achievements and milestones
- Follow the Leader and Issues both reached number one on the Billboard 200.
- Won Grammys for Freak on a Leash and Here to Stay.
- Regarded as one of nu metal's founding bands, shaping how later generations approached sound.
- Built one of the genre's biggest American touring franchises with the Family Values Tour.
- Has toured arenas and festivals without a break for more than thirty years.
The floor, the sound and picking a category
Pits opening on the floor is a normal part of these shows, and crowd movement is strong during the heavier tracks. Unless that is a deliberate choice, the back third of the floor or the lower tier is more comfortable — and the sound balance is cleaner there too.
The band's sound design is weighted towards low frequencies. Right up against the stage, bass and drums can bury the guitars and vocal. If you want the songs clean, the area around the mixing desk is the most balanced point in arena acoustics — a rule that holds for metal shows generally.
| Category | Who it suits |
|---|---|
| Front half of the floor | People who want the pit |
| Floor near the mixing desk | The most balanced sound |
| Lower tier opposite | Seeing the staging and lighting as a whole |
| Upper tier | Budget-led; the sound is still good |
European tour shape and tickets
European legs run at arena scale across a wide route: several British cities, then Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Czechia, Poland and Italy. Demand spreads differently on metal tours than on pop tours; outside the biggest cities, general-sale tickets stay available for a long time.
The band is also a regular headliner at Europe's big metal festivals. A festival ticket looks expensive next to a single show, but with several bands over three days and camping on site it often brings the total cost down.
Korn upcoming dates
How the night runs and what gets played
The set usually runs 90-105 minutes and leans heavily on the first five albums: Blind, Falling Away From Me, Got the Life, Freak on a Leash and Here to Stay are played almost every night. The bagpipe intro to Shoots and Ladders is one of the fixed moments of their tours.
The support act is usually picked from within the genre and plays 35-45 minutes. The headline set starts roughly an hour after the time on your ticket.
What to know before you go
- Pits open on the floor; unless that is your choice, take the back third or the stands.
- The sound is bass-heavy; the cleanest listening point is around the mixing desk.
- Bring filtered earplugs.
- The set runs 90-105 minutes and leans on the early albums.
- Outside Britain, general-sale tickets stay available for a long time.
How to plan travel around the concert
If you are flying abroad for a Korn show, the order should be: buy the ticket first, search for flights only once you have it, and stay in a neighbourhood 20–30 minutes from the venue by public transport. Plan to be in the city at least a day before; a morning-of flight that runs late means missing the show.
If the same tour has several European stops, compare the combined cost of ticket, flights and two nights' stay across three cities. London, Paris and Amsterdam sell out fastest and cost the most; Berlin, Milan, Warsaw, Prague and Budapest are usually easier for tickets and noticeably cheaper overall.
Keep planning
