Formed in England in 1980, Depeche Mode were among the first bands to take electronic music to stadium scale. The catalogue built around Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion has carried their tours for more than forty years.
Since the death of founding member Andy Fletcher in 2022 the band has continued as Dave Gahan and Martin Gore. How those two share the stage sets the rhythm of the night.

Achievements and milestones
- Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
- Violator is regarded as one of the most influential electronic albums ever made.
- Has toured internationally without a long break for more than four decades.
- One of the few electronic acts capable of filling stadiums in Europe.
- Holds a generational audience in Germany and Central Europe in particular.
Routing and venue scale
European legs lean on Germany, Poland, Czechia and Hungary, playing stadiums there and arenas elsewhere. The routing gives Central Europe more dates than the UK or France.
That routing also makes tickets easier: in Berlin, Warsaw, Prague and Budapest both ticket prices and total travel costs sit clearly below Western European stops.
- The set runs around two hours.
- Stadiums in Germany and Central Europe, arenas elsewhere.
- Central European stops are the best value on tickets and budget.
- The staging rests on large screens and lighting.
Tickets and how the set is built
Tickets stay on sale longer than on big pop tours, but German demand is high and stadium nights fill fast. Presale registration still makes a difference here.
The set combines a few current songs with the classic catalogue. Enjoy the Silence, Personal Jesus and Never Let Me Down Again are played almost every night, and the crowd swaying their arms during the last of those is a fixture of the band's shows.

The setlist
Enjoy the Silence, Personal Jesus, Never Let Me Down Again, Walking in My Shoes and Precious are regulars. The quieter stretch sung by Martin Gore provides the change of pace in the middle of the night.
What to know before you go
- The set runs around two hours and the pace varies; the quiet stretches are deliberate.
- The staging is screen-heavy, so middle-distance positions show the design better.
- Tickets and accommodation are easier at German and Central European stops.
- Stadium nights are outdoors and tours usually run in summer — dress for the weather.
- The arm-swaying during Never Let Me Down Again is the best-known moment of the show.
How to plan travel around the concert
If you are flying abroad for a Depeche Mode show, the order should be: buy the ticket first, search for flights only once you have it, and stay in a neighbourhood 20–30 minutes from the venue by public transport. Plan to be in the city at least a day before; a morning-of flight that runs late means missing the show.
If the same tour has several European stops, compare the combined cost of ticket, flights and two nights' stay across three cities. London, Paris and Amsterdam sell out fastest and cost the most; Berlin, Milan, Warsaw, Prague and Budapest are usually easier for tickets and noticeably cheaper overall.
