Who is Paul Heaton?

Paul Heaton is the singer-songwriter who left his mark on British pop with The Housemartins in the 1980s and The Beautiful South in the 1990s. His witty but sharp social observations reached a mass audience through songs such as Happy Hour, Caravan of Love, A Little Time, Rotterdam and Perfect 10. After The Beautiful South he kept filling concert halls with his solo work and his collaborations with Jacqui Abbott.

In 2026 Heaton scored the first UK number-one album of his solo career and then announced major shows for summer 2027. The programme includes headlining Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, arena shows in Belfast and Dublin, his first stadium show at Leeds' Headingley Stadium and a date at Live at the Marquee in Cork.
