Who are Ghost?

Ghost are the rock band formed in Linköping, Sweden, in 2006 and led by Tobias Forge. On stage Forge performs as characters such as Papa Emeritus, backed by masked musicians known as the Nameless Ghouls. Behind the dark, theatrical image are catchy melodies drawn from classic rock and pop.

The band's 2025 album Skeletá became the first Ghost album to reach number one on the Billboard 200. The Skeletour began in Manchester in April 2025 and ended in North America in February 2026, and the shows were phone-free. At the time of writing no new tour has been announced; new dates will appear in the live FlyVentis section below.

How does a phone-free concert work?

On Ghost's recent tours, phones were locked in Yondr pouches at the entrance. You keep your phone throughout the show, but the pouch can only be opened at designated unlocking points in the venue. It helps to note your ticket, meeting point and transport details on paper or memorise them rather than relying on screenshots.

Costume culture and where to watch from

Fans dressed as Papa or a ghoul are very common at Ghost concerts; face paint and priest robes surprise no one. The stage is built as a cathedral-style set with confetti and pyrotechnics, so the lower tiers facing the stage are a good choice if you want to see the whole production.

The front of the floor is more energetic; if you are not used to metal concerts, the middle or back of the floor is a more comfortable experience.

What to expect from the setlist

Square Hammer, Mary on a Cross, Dance Macabre, Rats and Cirice were the biggest moments of recent tours. Songs from the Skeletá era made up a large part of the set, and Forge talks to the crowd between songs with in-character humour.

What to know before you go

• If the show is phone-free, agree on a meeting point in advance.
• Costumes are welcome and common, but security checks at the entrance can take longer with masks.
• Earplugs help near the stage during the pyrotechnics.
• The merchandise stand gets very busy before the show.

How to plan travel around the concert

Secure the ticket before booking flights or accommodation. Aim to arrive at least a day before the show and stay 20–30 minutes from the venue on a direct public transport line; a same-day flight that runs late can mean missing the concert.

If the tour has several stops, compare the combined cost of ticket, flights and two nights' stay across cities rather than the ticket price alone.
